I don't necessarily disagree with that. But no one would give Cassel that kind of leeway, so I'm just being sarcastic. And remember, you are playing against #2's and #3's on defense too, supposedly. Now if it's playing with a bunch of scrubs against a starting defense, that's a different story.

I think people only look at that IF the team starts out like crap. If a team starts out fast after having a poor training camp/preseason the fans and media quickly forget about it. IMO, it has no real affect on what happens during the regular season.

Yeah, all these tweets from various amateurs do, is allow people to affirm their preconceived ideas... until we can see it with our own eyes, its pointless... fun, but pointless.
This. I was formulating conclusions initially based on what I had read from various sources, but I've gotten to the point now where I just have fun viewing all the differing views/takes on things. It's actually pretty interesting.

With KC it's the case, they need to look good it's part of psyche of winning. Especially with this group and the great unquestioned leader that's Matt Cassel.

Teams have looked great in the preseason then went on to have 3-13 seasons. I do see your point, especially with a team like this being so young and questions at QB.

You guys need to realize that our corners are for real. We've been drafting good corners for a while now, and the guy saying Arenas was a bad pick is wrong. Arenas is one of the best nick corners. Brady was struggling vs them

I say this addressing the discrepancy between QB reports

Here is my camp update from tonight:

I will start by saying the Flowers injury didn't look like it was anything to worry about. Cramps or at worst a slight roll of the ankle.

Hillis really looks ready to do it all this year. Good hands out of the backfield and runs with so much power and vision. A definite upgrade over Jones and Battle from last year obviously. Baldwin is as advertised this year. He is in excellent shape, goes up and gets the ball and has a good thing going with Cassel. Cassel looks more comfortable than I ever remember seeing him in a TC. Looks like he knows where to go with the ball and was hitting back shoulder throws with good accuracy tonight. Quinn looks to be more consistent than Stanzi. Stanzi reminds me of his days at Iowa...A very good play followed by a WTF type of play. I can't see Stanzi beating out Quinn. Wylie looks like a white version of Dex with better hands. Dex is going to get a look everywhere in Daboll's offense. He moves him around a lot.

Defensively, Routt looks to be extremely athletic and plays aggressive football. I don't see a huge dropoff from Carr IMO other than a little more risk/reward with Routt. Seems to really want the ball when its in the air. Poe and Powe both had a good practice. Coaches are bringing both along slowly and working with both after nearly every rep. Poe is so athletic that at the very least he will be 3rd down guy that could really cause havoc. Bailey looks to be ready to break out as does Justin Houston.

Other than that, Romeo looks to have a plan for the team and the entire TC seems much more organized under him than the past couple of years with Haley. Romeo let's his coaches coach and does a great job of structuring each and every session of practice.
