It's not hard to understand. Allow me to break it down for you.

Cassel frequently plays well against bad teams and bad quarterbacks. We win those games because of that.

Cassel frequently plays poorly against good teams and good quarterbacks. We lose those games because of that.

Ergo, 71.4 percent of Cassel's career wins come against shitty quarterbacks, and he is 3-13 against good quarterbacks. (see the best thread ever for reference).

Me too.

But if those 60 yards are indicative of his level of ability, I'd rather he die in a dumpster fire.

This is a myth. Qb's don't play against each other, QB's play against defenses while the other QB is on the sideline. An objctive statement would be that more times than not, our defense didn't play well against good QB's and Cassel didn't play well against good defenses.

Now I understand there is gray area there

That's great and all that, but i wasn't talking about that game, was I? Obviously that wouldn't be an example of winning in spite of, would it?

Which was also a complete fluke win, because Rivers fumbled a snap for no reason one play before the Chargers kicked the game winning FG.

Yes, a myth based on repeated instances of the same thing happening across four years and four different teams, including in New England.

Cassel lead the game winning drive. You want to blame someone for the Chargers being in the position to win the game point the finger at the defense.

FYI, just to point out an example of what a frickin' moron you are:

In 2010, our defense played extremely well against the Colts, gave Cassel lots of chances to win the game, and he friggin' sucked so hard, so much, that eventually Manning took advantage of it.

That's why Cassel keeps losing to elite quarterbacks. He gives them too many chances to win the game, or he can't keep up with them.

You make no sense. QB's don't compete against each other. When did I miss teams running a QB out on defense?

You wanna know why the defense was on the field to permit a potential game winning drive?

BECAUSE CASSEL WENT THREE AND OUT.

I seem to remember a worshipped Dwayne Bowe dropping a crucial pass that hit him right in the numbers that turned the tables in that game as well. I know, Cassel made him drop it.

Sure did. Never once saw Elway out on defense either.
