That play is a great example of why screen passes are not going to be effective with our QB....defenders are concentrating on defending the short area of the field...there's no threat of a downfield passing game. So they're going to key on things like screen passes.

No amount of creative playcalling is going to make Cassel better, so people need to stop blaming other people for his failures.

I don't know about that one, buddy. It's a good way to slow down a PASS rush, but it's not going to keep teams from stacking against our run game, if that's what you're getting at.

It is a good way to slow down the rush.

It still won't be very effective for us, though.

Teams fear a 30-yard gain on a screen pass from our offense more than they fear a 30-yard strike from the QB.
