I didn't notice Jalil Brown yesterday, good or bad. Don't really remember much from him last year either. I know some were big on him before the draft.

Anyone fill me in?

I'm really tired of this discussion. The whole point was that he absolutely will not be cut. I realize it's going to be a real challenge for DMC to catch 40 balls. A BIG challenge, but it's not outside the realm of possibility if he's used the way I believe he will, as a utility player lining up in many different positions including RB. It's clear that with as much talent as we have on offense he will be the last guy that the D will be focused on, and will have favorable matchups against LBs and 3rd/4th CBs. That's my last take on the subject.

He could potentially BE cut. It's up in the air. To say definitively either way is going too far.

If Wylie beats him? Very good chance he gets cut. He's not a STer.

And stop this RB fantasy garbage.

JFC.

He's not getting any work at RB during camp. None. He isn't playing any RB this season, we have 4 guys at rb who are better than him.

He's a wr or nothing at this point.

He's questionable for the first preseason game based on an injury report I saw last night.

I doubt it...If he stays on the roster (big possibility) he will line up all over the place, and shift etc....

Gimmick.

He may shift or move, but he won't play any RB this season. He didn't work with the RBs yesterday, or anyday in camp. He was working solely with the wr's.

He's not gonna get cut, he possibly should, but he won't. He was with the one's alot yesterday in the slot.

Of course when Bowe comes in, Breaston likely goes to the slot and DMC to the bench.

I appreciate the first hand take. I still believe he's going to line up in the backfield in certain situations.

Believe what you want I guess, but he won't be in the backfield any.

And if he is, it's likely that Hillis, Charles, Gray and Droughn are dead.

Teams paid very close attention to DMC last year. They didn't want him to beat them. Much like this year they will have to account for his presence on the field. He wont get cut and be usefull even as a decoy player on the field if they want. Fake end arounds and throw the ball downfield (lol downfield with cassel never mind)

They are working him solely as a WR to improve that area of his game. I won't be surprised to see him in the backfield during the regular season.

“We’ve given Dexter reps at the wide receiver position in this new offense because we feel like he knows how to play running back and we can put him over at running back at any point in time, but we felt like he needed the work at wide receiver,” head coach Romeo Crennel explained. “Probably what that will do is open it up for us to be able to use him however and whenever. We need him at whatever position. He’s taken to it really well. He’s been enthusiastic about it, so that is working out pretty well for us.”

If you are gonna play him at RB, thats taking carries away from Hillis, Charles and Gray/Droughn who are better rb's than he is.

I bet McCluster gets some hand offs out of the backfield. He did it last year with some success. What I don't understand is why not? With how he was effective in college absolutly destroying a top defense against the Tennessee Volunteers that featured Eric Berry. Maybe that's why I like him so much is what he did that day and just have higher excpectations than most here?
