I love the beef.

But you don't need to invest multiple first round picks on the beef.

Albert is the only first rounder on this line, and it appears, from reading this thread, that this line is on it's way to being pretty damn good.

Didn't really need to make anyone miss. He was pretty wide open when he caught the ball. I thought all 3 plays were pretty good.

Cassel was untouched. They had one shot on a botched play where it looked like the RB didn't know what was called and Cassel had to scramble and dump the ball. Other than that I don't know that we gave up a sack all night.

I can say he is much better rout runner than he was at being a HB. He can definitely be utilized as a weapon out of the slot & not take anything away from the running game.

I don't see that. I mean I was young when Riggins played but I seem to remember him being primarily a power back. I don't remember him hitting the outside a lot or catching the ball downfield but again, that was a long time ago and I could be totally wrong.

Yep, I think he opens up bran new plays & be tricky about using him. I think Pioli had a vision for him when he drafted him so he is going get the most out of him. He drafted Wylie for the same reasons & continue with the theme. Those guys are small so doesn't hurt to have the extra backup plan in place.

I think what will help this passing game the most will be the inability of teams to stop the run with just the front 7. And this year if our defense can spot us a 10-13 pt lead early and we don't have to pass we have playmakers at WR that can make teams pay.

And our defense? It was such an unfair fight it made me think of this...
