The slot receiver is generally in the short zones, the area in which Matt Cassel works.

When Bowe returns, Breaston will be the guy working in the slot, not Dexter.

900 snaps. This is not a player we're going to sub out for a guy with 21 career catches as a WR.

By all reports, Daboll wants to get DMC on the field. My guess is he will get his fair share of playing time this year for better or worse.

Daboll is not a frickin' moron.

He's not going to take Moeaki or Breaston off the field for a midget.

I think they will try to find ways to involve McCluster more than they should.

Not because has all this God given talent that they just have to take advantage of, but because they just have to try to find a way to justify that #36 overall pick on a scrub midget.

Lol McCluster will see the field at slot WR. Breaston will start, but there will be times where hes rotated out. There will be times when Bowe/Baldwin come off and Breaston slides over and McCluster is in the slot. There will be times where we come out with two WR's, and two RB's(one being McCluster), and he either motions out or receives it out of the backfield(or is just a decoy).

McCluster will be on the field, and used a lot of different ways... even if he isn't a "starter". Wont be on the field as much as our core of Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston, Moeaki, Boss.. but he will get a lot of snaps per game.

Plus since our offense should be better this year, we will move the ball more getting the chance to run more plays and more opportunities for him.

I dont see Breaston starting over Baldwin when Bowe returns and both Dex and Breaston will share time in the slot.

Is there a good reason for this besides "I am a major homer for DMC?"

There is literally 0 advantage in putting DMC on the field over Steve Breaston.

Can we agree that he's only getting those touches because this coaching staff is still just as clueless as the last coaching staff about what the guy actually is-- a college speedster who is a slapdick in the pros.

He's not a better route runner than Bowe, Baldwin, or Breaston. He's fast, but not on-the-field fast. Whenever he has to make decisions and follow downfield blocking, we may as well be throwing those screens to ****ing Toribio. He slows WAY down. And it's not a patience thing, either. He's hesitant and indecisive. Oh, and he also has no tackle-avoiding ability (or tackle breaking ability for that matter).

I hope we use him a ton, and finally Daboll calls time out at some point during the season and gets on his headset to RAC: "Coach, why the **** do we think this asshole is talented? He ****ing sucks."

He has an injured groin and he missed the game. We'll find out his status tomorrow.
