But you're making two different arguments here, which is what a lot of people here are doing, and it's why BlackBob's not getting smashed. Being a better linebacker is not the same as being a better tackler.

That doesn't make him a better tackler. That makes him a player with better range. They aren't the same thing.

Again they are both making the routine plays.

DJ is making the spectacular plays, and missing on some of the tackles that would be spectacular.

Now people are knocking him due to that and propping up siler because he isn't missing tackles he never has a chance to miss because he sucks

I'm doing neither. I'm pointing out that people are making one argument and acting as if they're making a different one. I'm not arguing that either is the better tackler, just that BlackBob's not getting killed on the issue. Johnson can be a lesser tackler and still be the better linebacker, but people are trying to equate the two.

nope, people understand the difference....but they also understand that DJ is simply better...there is no evidence that a guy sitting on the bench is a better tackler than DJ, because it isn't true

it's hard, i gather, with cassel's balls ricocheting off your face...but both arguments are won by DJ, as anyone with eyeballs can see..

i don't even know how one could make the comparison given siler's paltry stats and lack of playing time...shouldn't being good enough to actually play be a precondition for being 'better' at anything?
