Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno

How many of those teams need a QB? I can live with having to pay a king's ransom in draft picks, but if they just fold their arms and say "we're not trading out at any price, he's ours", that would suck.

I think we line up pretty well for drafting Geno. Even the bad teams we're competing against have QB's already.

Was listening to Rome today on my way home, he was interviewing Mack Brown about UT-WVU this weekend. Rome asked Brown if he thought Smith was as good as RGIII, and Brown said yes without hesitation, and offered a pretty thorough explanation as to why, but I don't have a link.

You know who else hasn't been added to the list?

Every single ****ing Chiefs fan who will be watching Geno decked out in red and gold hoisting a Lombardi trophy.

I can't add them all to the list.

Some of you fellas are going to wish you had been quicker on the draw. When the window closes, it's gone.

I'll do one more comb-through later, but then I'm ****ing done.

I'll call 900+ posts through only four games pretty damn good. This thread could crack 20,000 by the time Chiefs draft day rolls around.
