I haven't really seen anybody try to defend it other than to say it was a few meatheads rather than the whole crowd. But seriously, it's not like he was Theismaned or motionless out there. There, now I just defended it a little. Who even knows what anybody was cheering since there were 4 positives to cheer on that play inside a 60 second window and one negative. It's just an unfortunate situation that was exacerbated by one nitwit's comments postgame.

People should also keep in mind that there were Ratbird fans in attendance.

It's very possible they were quothing some bad stuff, too.
