at this place sometimes, and hate to rain on your parade.

I hope like hell this guy, Brady Quinn hits a gear never seen from him before, and turns out to be THE guy.

Maybe I am getting cynical, but I think there is a better chance of that, than the Chiefs actually drafting and developing a 1st round QB successfully. Especially since they haven't accomplished it in their entire history and haven't even tried in 30 years.

If they do, nobody will be happier than me, or more surprised.

Do you keep him and start him next season?
Nothing Stanzi could do (outside of rallying us to the playoffs and a playoff win) should let him be given the starting role next year without competition.

If he does as you posted, he earns a right to battle in an open competition in OTAs, but said competition would be weighted towards our first round rookie.

Youre absolutely right. I shouldve changed that to letting him compete for the starting position.

Still, it would be nice if that scenario would work out, as unlikely that it is. Personally i think it would be funny as hell if we fired pioli right before stanzi came in and won some games for us.

If Pioli was canned I'd love to see us rip of 3 or 4 wins to end the season and finish on a high note...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Yea, three or four useless wins that give Crennel another year and bump us out of position to draft a franchise QB.

Lets not act as if 3 or 4 wins toward the end of a dumpster fire year is gonna save anyones job.

This team will probably have 10 losses when Stanzi takes over.

3-4 wins will put us in perfect position to draft Wilson.
