Appreciation for "the movement"

Sorry not a poop thread.

I know a lot of people have expressed their appreciation to those responsible for the movement in motion by us fans in the stickys and that's awesome, but a lot of that gets buried. Some folks will see this as a waste of bandwidth because of that, which is fair, but imo what has been done and continues to be done moving forward is worth a place to just say thanks.

pr_capone started it all and continues as the driving force. I'm not sure he even knew the impact his actions were going to have in the beginning.

Marty Mac Ver 2.0 is taking the ball and running.

GoChiefs has been working on a video that is said to be epic (with the help of others I believe)

As a Chiefs fan who isn't local to the KC area anymore but is just as sick and tired of the state of the team over the last several years it's inspiring to see the best fans on earth not only say enough is enough, but actually put their actions and efforts where their mouth is (and money).This may end up not only being the greatest fan movement of all time but may actually help bring change in the end.

I don't have the extra funds to help right now but seeing the banner, the media coverage, the action taking place is just as satisfying to me as it is to you all who are donating and working to make this cause happen.

So thank you for taking it upon yourselves to make a difference. All of us "true Chiefs fans" are following along and cheering it on. It's great to see. Those who don't get it are part of the problem.

I know I left people out so feel free to name names. All this effort deserves our thanks, appreciation and praise.

You don't have to donate to the cause to be part of it. Its your facebook posts, your tweets, the movement is YOU. Its your voice, its your spirit.

Appreciate the movement. Appreciate yourself. Appreciate that you are standing up for something you believe in, even if it might not mean as much to other fans, other people, other worlds.

Keep the pressure on, until the seed gives birth to the fruit of decades of frustration.

The only thing worse than opposing fans coming here and acting like overtly-obnoxious jerks is opposing fans coming here and acting like they feel sorry for us while rubbing our noses in our misfortune.

No. I thought about it but decided against it. Mainly because the Pats fans did the same to us after getting Mangini. You are completely correct in saying that is the worst way to be treated. I may have said a thing or two but I never tried to rub in peoples faces.

Good post! I was thinking of doing something similar after I read a couple anti-***** articles on ESPN today. Some Chiefs fans--and some on CP in particular--really took matters into their own hands and made a huge difference in terms of the future of this franchise, and we all owe you guys a ton of thanks. The sooner our Chiefs move beyond this *****/Cassel disaster, the sooner we can begin to move forward, and I feel like people like pr capone and others really made an impact in causing that to happen sooner than it would have if everyone would have just sat quietly.
