I think a lot of it had to do with Quinn's comments about Belcher. A lot of commentators seemed mighty impressed.

As for keeping Quinn, I would rather keep Quinn as a backup or placeholder for a 1st round QB than Alex Smith since Smith will probably take draft picks to acquire.

Eh, I don't know about that. Statistically, it was the best day of his career, and he had the highest QBR in the league last week. It's notable as a one-time event though probably not as a predictor of future success.

No, though it's also appropriate to mention that that was Quinn's 16th start in the NFL. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that he could drastically improve with more playing time.

I definitely don't want them to go into next season with Quinn as the QBOTF but, depending on what he does over the next four weeks, he could end up being a quality back up and mentor to a 1st round QB.

You know, he really played well enough for the Chiefs to have beaten Denver too. That first drive was a thing of beauty until Dabol dicided to have Hillis become a QB.

I agree. It's nice that he had a decent game, but 200 yards isn't that big of a deal.
