Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

And no one is overvaluing Geno. He is what he is - hands down the best quarterback in this draft and the best pro prospect I've seen since Manning other than a guy named Andrew Luck. (And, to be honest, he's more athletic than Manning with a bigger arm.) How do you overvalue that, especially when you are the ****ing 2012 Chiefs?

There isn't a franchise QB in this draft. A 7-5 record in the big 12? IF he was all you say, he would have been able to put his team on his back and win games. He just isn't THAT good. He is a good player, but maybe not even a first rounder. Just because we NEED a franchise QB to be available, it doesn't mean we should pretend he is one.
