Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Like I said, if Geno's really skipping the Senior Bowl, that's a huge mistake, IMO. This isn't a done deal for him by any means.

Hell, just the amount of Gino love on silly message boards like this one; might have made him really confident he has the edge. So now he's going to bet that Wilson can't surpass him. Bold move, but still - not necessarily a dumb move or a mistake. It tells me that he and his advisers think Wilson will not perform well enough in the senior bowl to take the 1 away from Gino.

I mean, I digress, the race isn't close enough for Gino to feel that way, but if we're wrong, he'll come out smelling like a rose.

I'll be watching to see how it turns out. If Wilson falls on his face, my talk is out the door. But I've only been a small talking head to begin with.

Sorry but this is just silly.

Geno isn't making decisions like this based on message boards and fan reaction.

He made this decision after being advised by his agent. You know who his agent talks to? NFL teams.

I dont like that he isnt playing in the Senior Bowl. Would been a good idea to go out and show he's the best

Which is why it pains me to go there anymore. I mean I love that site, it's the first Chiefs board I signed up for, and Ive met some great people there. But some veiws there, on who we should draft, are just......egh.....
