Broncos traded Kaepernick
Sorta:
On April 29, 2011, The San Francisco 49ers traded up with the Denver Broncos from the thirteenth pick in the second round (#45 overall) to select Colin Kaepernick as the fourth pick in the second round (#36 overall) at the 2011 NFL Draft. The Denver Broncos received picks 45, 108 and 141 overall in exchange for the 36th overall pick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Kaepernick |

Broncos traded the pick used to acquire Kaepernick. Not really that complicated, and I think everyone knew what the OP intended.

Keapernick looked like a lightning bolt running yesterday. He had plenty of gas late in the game. Pretty impressive to me.......

What's so odd about Denver trading out of that slot was: they had no QB. They had Orton, Quinn, Tebow who all sucked. It's one thing to trade out and miss on a young QB when you already signed Peyton in March, like they did this year. But this happened a year before the Peyton signing. Either way, they ended up (1) Burning a 1st on Tebow, (2) passing on Kap, (3) getting Rahim "Toast" Moore instead, (4) spending 90M on Peyton, (5) Losing first round anyway |

We will see if this trend of running QB's holds up. The downside is what happened to RGIII. They are one knee injury away from disaster.

I'd like to see the data on likelihood of major injury rushing, or getting sacked. Tom Brady had his leg destroyed by Pollard while throwing a bomb. Where are you truly "safe" in the NFL?
