Geno Smith fans roll call
NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):
The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314 WHY GENO SMITH? If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388 Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him. GIF #1:

GIF #3 (My favorite):

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE? Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story. Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist 1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick 2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out 3. [X] Hire new GM/coach OPTIONAL (but highly recommended): 4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno 5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert Last edited by RealSNR; 01-04-2013 at 12:32 PM.. |

That's how he managed to complete 72% of his passes and only throw 6 picks. It was awful decision-making and dumb luck - the end. I just...ugh...people are just so dumb. Sooooooooo dumb. There are legitimate arguments to be made with the guy; odd mechanics in his lower half and an arm that is merely good, not great. But Jesus, why do people continue to make shit up? What evidence is there in his entire body of work that he was forcing throws to his first read on every play? I hate everyone.

Positive note:
I got at least one convert out of the thread I've dominated at PowerMizzou. Didn't even need to resort to using the LSU game tape to do it, either (though that tape shows a LOT of the strengths Geno has that SOME of us love). Lot of truefan sentiment in there. ONe guy who can't believe Albert grades out as a top 10 LT... Despite the grades link being shared with him.

629 pages on Geno freaking Smith really shows how far this organization has fallen. Christ what a fail. Chiefs will continue to be the Chiefs if we draft Geno.

Also, what kind of genius compares Luke Joeckel to Jonathan Ogden?
The same type that compares Geno Smith to Tim Tebow? I mean, come on. Ogden was a physical monster/freak of nature at 6'9/300+ who was clearly going to be dominant in both phases of the game because he had elite LT athleticism in a road grader body, a combo that no DL can really match in either phase of the game. Joeckel is NOWHERE close to that. He's NOT a physical specimen (for an OT). Insane.

Joeckel is a big guy that's athletic for a big guy. He's a longer-armed version of Jake Long. He's a top 10 LT in the league that probably doesn't project as much of a run blocker. Hell, he's Ryan !@#$ing Clady. He's NOT Jonathan Ogden.
