Roger Goodell's Salary 20 Million WTF?
Last year CBS reported that Goodell's salary will be 20 million a year.
After what he did to the Saints this year I would personally stick an ice pick in his right eye. Not to mention he's making the NFL a league of pansies. Pretty soon it will be flag football. By Will Brinson "Roger Goodell recently received a five-year contract extension from the NFL, and according to a report, his salary will "double" up to $20 million annually by the end of the deal. That news comes from Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal, who also reports that Arthur Blank, Falcons owner and head of the NFL's compensation committee, said Goodell's new deal will "bring Goodell in line [financially] with other top sports commissioners." http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/e...75988/34822324 Last edited by houstonwhodat; 01-16-2013 at 07:11 PM.. |

16 games per week for 16 weeks = 256 games
256 games x 65,000 fans = 16,640,000 fan visits So Goodell is only getting about 80 cents from you every time you buy a ticket. That's only about one-tenth the cost of a beer at the stadium.

It's a privately-held business (technically a cartel) that chooses what they will pay their management team. It's really none of my business what he makes nor do I care. If the owners weren't making billions, and franchises weren't skyrocketing in value, they woudln't pay the man that coin.

That's $10,000,000 an hour assuming he works 9-5 for M-F 50 weeks out of the year.
