Little Red Reid spent a few minutes with Tyler Wilson.

The Chiefs/Tyler Wilson thing: Heard that the Chiefs were charting every one of Wilson's snaps during practice this week. Saw it for myself.

I would like to think that the Chiefs interest in Wilson would stop the talk about tackles and such but I don't think it will.
Instead, I think it's going to end up FUELING the "see, they want a 2nd-tier QB so they can take a fatty 1st overall" talk. Primarily because the fanbase has no freaking clue about Tyler Wilson or this QB class in general. Last edited by htismaqe; 01-24-2013 at 09:58 AM.. |

Here is a interesting tidbit....
The Chiefs were charting every single snap of Tyler Wilson this week. Not sure if they were doing that with other QB's but pretty telling on Wilson and KC's interest. This per a ex NFL Operations Coordinator who saw the info with his own eyes. EDIT: noticed the tidbit was just addressed a little while ago. Last edited by ChiefMojo; 01-24-2013 at 09:51 AM.. |

Agreed. I am going on record as saying I prefer Geno over Wilson at number 1 overall, but if Reid and Dorsey see something I am missing with Wilson and select him, I am fine with that. I just want the new regime to identify their QB, draft him in the first and go to war with him.

I wouldn't wanna mess up what he's been doing his whole life, but I'd like it if Wilson would shorten up his delivery. The bottom nose of the ball drops too low when he's going through his throwing motion. I'd like to see no wasted motion and keep the bottom nose of the ball not go that low where it's almost below his waist. His delivery kind of looks like Schaub's. He too would get the ball out a lot faster if he'd shorten and tighten it up a bit. Seems like a great guy. Again, he or Geno would own this town.

I'd be thrilled if we drafted any of the top 3-4 QBs.
I haven't seen enough of Barkley to really have an opinion of him. I have seen a few of Wilson and Geno. But not really enough of either to be die hard, Wilson/Geno or bust kind of guy. I think the Chiefs should take their highest rated QB out of the top 4 QBs; and accomplish this any way possible. Don't take the friggin 6 rated QB etc as a project. If they decide it's Geno, or Wilson etc....then get him. If it means in the 2nd round; or late first; or top 15, or trading back into the first, Get it done.

That's so funny. As I was watching that when asked about guys he liked growing up or emulated, I immediately though Brett Favre and sure enough, he said it.
If you've seen Wilson play, you know he definitely has a little gunslinger in him. Same can be said with Geno. To be fair he said he also lilkes Manning. Maybe he likes how he controls the offense & game. I don't know. But I wouldn't say they play the same. |
