As to my reasoning for it, 'a lot of top picks' aren't quarterbacks and those that are aren't vying for the #1 overall pick in a draft where there is so much debate over the consensus top QB available. It's not terribly instructive to look to what other prospects do, IMO. What Geno should do is show the confidence in himself and his ability and go throw at the damn combine, when he'll be able to go stand shoulder to shoulder with the people he's claiming he's better than and prove it.
