It's my understanding that the show doing the promo gets dinged out of their ad budget and it shows up on CBS's balance sheet as revenue. It's not full boat cost but 50%

I was talking about the loss of OUTSIDE revenue. More pepsi, doritos, godaddy, etc.

They make enough off the Super Bowl. What they really need is ratings for their other shows so they can sell ads for them.
