Prince is a Dick
He goes on Fallon's show. Asks to borrow a guitar from one of the guys in Fallon's house band. It's a rare 1961 Epiphone model, after his set he throws the guitar across the stage and breaks the head, ruining the guitar. Then he refused to offer to replace it, or even sign the ruined guitar afterwards for the true owner.
What an asshole. Story is here: http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/1951...one-on-fallon/ |

I'd kick the shit out of him after the show.

Title is a well-known fact. Doesn't change the fact that it sucks, though.

He’d be a royal lollypop with the neck of an Epiphone sticking out of his ass.

Well, the good news for Captain Kirk is that Epiphone reissued the Crestwood in 2012.
Seriously, I'm surprised he wasn't playing the reissue because he's played them in the past. |

I just looked and it's not "vintage" anyway because he replaced the original tuners with Sperzel locking tuners. Still a drag, though.

These tuners are expensive though. Several hundreds of dollars to get the single line version that are from that time period. Collectors have bought up thousands of old Gibsons and Epis that were still in decent shape, except for the tuners so there is an entire secondary market just for those. |

He's a better man than I.
I'm afraid the video of him declining to sign my guitar, after destroying it, would have gone viral. Probably beating a famous afro flat with a guitar level viral. |
