I also think Andy Reid is 1 million times better as a coach than Romeo.

The career stats might be the same but Cassel wasn't the #1 pick and thrown into a sh*t storm like Smith. Cassel also played on possibly one of the greatest teams of all time. Thats how we got suckered into him tossin the ball up to Moss at that time would pad anybodies stats. 2010 I can't explain luck I guess

Based on everything we've learned about Alex Smith he's a lot like Matt Cassel. Now I don't doubt that he will never be as bad as Cassel was these last two seasons, but to suggest he has a higher ceiling strikes me as a reach.

How about Sam Shields from the Packers if Sean Smith is a no go.

ESPN's Adam Schefter estimated on NFL32 that Sean Smith will command in the range of $7 million to $7.5 million annually in free agency.
Per Schefter, Smith is widely viewed around the league as the top cornerback available. We prefer Aqib Talib, and perhaps teams would if he were cleaner off the field. Smith, who played college ball at Utah, is squeaky clean and only 25 years old. Look for the Chiefs, Eagles, Buccaneers, and perhaps Jaguars to contact Smith when the negotiating period opens Friday at midnight. |

I also would prefer Talib.
Or Rhodes, Amerson, or Banks at #34. Wait... |

Amerson can be had in the 3rd rd from what I've seen.

I think Amerson can be had in the 3rd, too.
Unfortunately, we will probably need to take the best QB available in that spot. |

Depending on how the draft went, that would be extremely intradasting. Of course, this whole late 1st-3rd is going to be crazy decision-wise as there are so many prospects that likely have similar grades.
