Just get Millner? Revis is the best in football but this rookie is his equal?

Milliner and what else we could get in FA with the extra cash would certainly be more valuable than Revis alone.

Doesn't matter, we're getting Geno.

Do you think SF goes to the Super Bowl last year if Dick Stanzi was the backup QB?

Reid and Dorsey both see the necessity of two "starting caliber" QBs in todays NFL.

Yeah it is such a necessity that the 49ers trade that necessity away. Didn't matter who the backup was after the 49ers made the change.

Yeah, Green Bay and New England totally agree: you need multiple QBs to win.

Green Bay constantly has a possible starter at b/u. How many QB's have left the pack for starting deals elsewhere?

A bunch...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Good teams place an emphasis on having QBs.

Both Green Bay (Favre, Rodgers) and New England (Brady) have had entrenched elite starters at least since 2002.

Look at their draft history over that time frame:

Green Bay -
2012 - 7.243 BJ Coleman
2008 - 2.56 Brian Brohm
2008 - 7.209 Matt Flynn
2006 - 5.148 Ingle Martin
2005 - 1.24 Aaron Rodgers
2002 - 5.164 Craig Hall

New England -
2011 - 3.74 Ryan Mallett
2010 - 7.250 Zac Robinson
2008 - 3.94 Kevin O'Connell
2005 - 7.230 Matt Cassel
2003 - 6.201 Kliff Kingsbury
2002 - 4.117 Rohan Davey

And then look at KC's history over that same period of time:
2011 - 5.135 Ricky Stanzi
2006 - 3.85 Brodie Croyle

Game. Set. Match. DaKCMan_AP is Awesome.

What do you think Revis is going to sign for? He wants HUGE money. If you don't give it to him he plays this year out. You think KC trades for him without locking him up. Rumor around here is he wants top money. Not top CB money, top money in general for any position. The argument isn't about if he will get it, it's about if he will wait a year and try.

Yeah. Geno is now dead to me much like RG3 was leading up to the draft.

It sucks but it just isn't going to happen folks. At some point have to begin to accept reality.
