At least it doesn't corner you into only taking certain positions, it's readily tradable, and it's extremely valuable relative to what it would be worth in most years. **** you, Alex Smith. |

Yeah in no way is the 34 more valuable than 1. Why are you mad at Alex Smith? Did he force the trade here?

it boggles the mind......im sure alex smith is thrilled to be leaving a franchise he has known for 8 years, and coming to the worst team in football.

While not trying to interject myself into you and wendlers ongoing feud, i gotta say that i definitely see physical similarities.
From a purely arm talent perspective they're practically identical, neither seems to trust their arm when attempting anything past twenty yards... they dont throw past that distance, they push it that distance... and they have both shown themselves to prefer checkdowns and shorter, safer throws and their velocity and long range accuracy are nearly identical as far as i can see. Where Alex stands apart is his decision making, and that pretty much encompasses all aspects of play... timing, ability to buy time in the pocket, anticipation of guys coming open, avoiding obvious pick situations etc... thats why he was able to to 18-19 in his last niners game and why that team was in most games. He is also a bit more mobile... but in the area of "what throws can this guy consistently execute"... he really isnt any better than cassel, in my honest opinion. |

this is what the Chiefs get for throwing the 49ers a bone and getting Alex Smith's FULLY GUARANTEED CONTRACT OFF THEIR HANDS.
i said the Chiefs doing this would give the 49ers a little wiggle room to be major players, and sure enough cock block the Chiefs. Not that I like Sean Smith anyway but if his choices are the 49ers or the Chiefs he's picking the 49ers ten times out of ten and there is nothing we can do about it. |

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Four teams - SF, PHIL, DET, TB - in play on Dashon Goldson - but DET, TB considered favorites. TB also in on CBs Sean Smith, B. Grimes, DRC. |

Sean Smith is basically only being pursued because he is 25 and has first-round talent....he's basically entering the draft again and people think they can "fix" him.
He's going to be such a huge disappointment.

Did you ever weigh in on the corner you'd prefer us to enter 2013 with, across from Brandon Flowers?

Shocking that someone could think that Smith, being young, and with size that you can't just teach, in an aggressive front, could be productive. Who to trust? The numerous teams pursuing him, or the gif maker who doesn't understand what he's looking at?
