Knowing what we now know about Colin Kaepernick (and what Jim Harbaugh knew before anyone else), which QB's in the NFL would you start over him?

Brady
Brees
Both mannings
Rodgers
Luck
Roethlisberger

Those right off the top of my head.

still doesn't change the fact Smith was a backup, even if it was behind Jesus

I disagree with your entire list.

There's only one guy today that I'd bench Kaepernick for and that's Cam Newton.

Could you imagine Newton with Belichick? Or Coughlin? Or even Reid?

It sucks that he's been stuck with Carolina and Rivera. And now, Mike Shula, the same guy that could never generate any offense in Tampa Bay under Dungy, regardless of the QB.

fair enough and if I had gone down the entire list Newton would be about on par in my mind with kapernick.

But their sample sizes are too small at this point to put them up there at the top of the heap

The other way to look at it is that he's started just 10 games and nearly won the Super Bowl.

Bad coaching lost it for them on that final drive.

I look at it like we should see it happen consistently and in more than ten games.

One year does not make a career

Actually yes sir I do, I have never bashed you or said anything malicious towards you (that I can recall LOL) I just don't understand that argument. I mean if your argument is based on building a franchise around those QB's at their PRESENT age then that's one thing, but c'mon man you're trying to tell me you would rather have Cam Newton than Tom Brady? Or Peyton Manning? RIGHT NOW??
