49ers on their way to a 16-0 season.

They just signed Asomugha to a one year deal for peanuts. Good lord.

Look at this ridiculous roster.

QB: Colin Kaepernick
RB: Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James
FB: Bruce Miller

WR: Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham, A.J. Jenkins, Kyle Williams
TE: Vernon Davis

LT: Joe Staley
LG: Mike Iupati, Joe Looney
C: Jonathan Goodwin, Daniel Kilgore
RG: Alex Boone
RT: Anthony Davis

LDE: Ray McDonald, Demarcus Dobbs
NT: Glenn Dorsey, Ian Williams
RDE: Justin Smith

OLB: Aldon Smith
ILB: NaVorro Bowman, Dan Skuta
ILB: Patrick Willis
OLB: Ahmad Brooks

CB: Nnamdi Asomugha, Carlos Rogers, Terrell Brown, Perrish Cox
S: Craig Dahl, Donte Whitner, C.J. Spillman, Trenton Robinson

K: Phil Dawson
P: Andy Lee
LS: Brian Jennings

This is before their 10 draft picks in April.

Does this look like a 16-0 team?

Here's their opponents:

Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams

Road: New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars (London), Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams

Other than The Seahawks twice, that is.... friendly.

Last year yes.

This year we'll see.

Reality is with Brees/Payton all we need is an average defense and we will win.

We didn't even have that last year.

Right, but the year before, you had a suspect defense as well. I haven't seen that much of an upgrade have you? Im not trolling, just trying to be honest. although, the fact that the buccs, despite all their spending, and Carolina, still suck, leaves hope. Gonna be really tough to get a wild card though.

You have to figure that San Francisco, and the Seahawks are getting two spots, the Packers should get one, the winner of the NFC LEAST, and the Falcons. Leaves basically you, the bears, Rams, and what ever second place team in the nfc east to fight for one. Gonna be tough.

I do agree though. Having payton back is a great thing.

Saints will win NFC South this year, not the Failcons. I'd put money on it.

Failcons have no chance against the Saints if Brees/Payton combination is in tact.

Sean Payton is in Mike Smith's head. Saints know it, Failcons know it.

I think Rob Ryan will do better than people expect this year.

I had no problem with Gregg Williams but he blitzed too much. We should have won the San Francisco playoff game if it weren't for Williams being too aggressive.

The only fight the Saints will have this year is for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

If they get that it's over for everyone else.

Fair enough. I agree on greg, and I love Rob Ryan, loved him as a brown d coordinator. Hope you are right, as I hate the falcons a hell of a lot more than I hate the saints.

That's coming.

All these running around option type qb's are going to get their collective bell rung this year.

Defenses will be ready for them.

RG3 will not finish the season, again.

Russell Wilson will probably have the most success out of all of them.

Saints are going to make a statement this year just watch.

I don't hate the Chiefs why would you hate the Saints? They're not even in your conference.

Thing is I feel for you guys I know you need a good QB again like Len Dawson.

The Saints have one of the best QB/head coach tandems in NFL history and together Brees and Sean Payton have been rewriting the record books.

Brees is simply amazing and watching him work the pocket is worth the price of admission.

Last year was a joke and an abberation, this year will be back to normal.

It took us 43 years to find them.

I will cry the day Brees retires and I won't be alone.

49'er are good I just don't buy into CK.

I just don't think you can operate like that on a consistent basis year after year.

We'll see.

Maybe the Saints and 49'ers will meet again in the playoffs.

NFC Playoff Picture:

Saints
49'ers
Giants
Packers

Wild Cards
Seahawks or Falcons or Lions or Redskins

The thing with Kaep that gives me hope, he is a hell of a worker. That being said, if he gets hurt, they have Colt McCoy as a back up qb now. Also, unlike most niner fans who slurp him relentlessly, I see flaws. He has short throw accuracy issues. It started for me way earlier in the season than the super bowl, where it was ridiculously magnified. I don't buy the Lions, the rest I can see. I think the seahawks are a lock as either the division winners, or as the wild card. I don't want to see you in the playoffs to be honest. your offense is ridiculous.

No one wants to play the Saints in the playoffs, at home especially.

If the Saints can put some duct tape on that defense we can do some damage this year.

Lions, meh who knows. Stafford can be a good QB I don't think their coach has it in him. Kinda like Mike Smith of the Failcons.

I expect Brees/Payton to light it up this year. I can't wait for the season to start.

BTW, what's this I hear about 49'er fans being violent at games and shit?

Is this true?

All fans can be stupid when they're drunk but it seems like last year there was always some kind of drama involving opposing teams fans when they attended games at San Fran or Oakland.
