who's guarding John Wall?
Wouldn't Monta Ellis be a taller, better version of DeSean Jackson? |

I expect this from this site, though...
anyone who thinks LeBron James wouldn't be the best non QB NFL player OF ALL TIME is simply not intelligent tell me how you defense a 6'8" 260 lb man who can jump 50" and run a 4.4 40 oh I know how! according to some if you touch him he'd just fall down and cry because apparently if you play in the NBA you can't take contact...there is no real reason behind this thought process other than the..."oh shit, he's right...LeBron would beast the NFL so lets make something up to see if it sticks" |

Yes! One of the best athletes in the world would excel at any sport! Your logic is that that translates to all NBA players being more athletic than NFL players is the problem.

why do the best black players play in the NBA and not the NFL?
Again, it's quite simple: 1) Guaranteed contracts 2) More money 3) MUCH longer careers 4) no major long term health risks If LeBron James could only make $5M per year playing in the NBA but could make $50M per year in the NFL... GUESS WHAT LEBRON AND THE BEST NBA ATHLETES WOULD PLAY IN THE NFL why? BECAUSE THE NBA HAS BETTER ATHLETES THAN THE NFL. If Terrell Owens or Randy Moss were ever good enough to play in the NBA at any point in there lives...they would have played in the NBA. The fact of the matter is...when they were younger they excelled more at football and that was the path they had to take to make a living. If at any point they were Mr. Basketballs or top tier division 1 talent... they would have focused on basketball and not football that's how it works I realize there are certain dipshits who have no athletic ability on this site that don't realize this... but there is no ****ing way a Derrick Rose...who has more quickness and agility than anyone in the NFL...couldn't have played in the NFL if there was a reason for him to play in the NFL and not in the NBA. but there is, and I repeat again, NO REASON IN THE WORLD TO PLAY IN THE NFL WHEN YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO PLAY IN THE NBA. The last guy on the bench makes more money than 90% of the players in the NFL and do it while not burning tens of years off of their lives. |

I'm sure he COULD be one of those things...
he could also be the best TE to ever play the game. he could also be the best WR to ever play the game. he would be unguardable... 4.4 40 6'8" 260 44" vertical amazing quickness and agility so why are you putting him at DE? are you implying you don't think he could play offense for some reason? |

You keep saying, "it's all athletic ability", but that's not true. There is a mental side to the game that you are underselling. Being able to get the shit knocked out of you and come back play after play and perform at a high level takes skill and mental toughness that not every athlete possesses. Lebron has sat out games at the end of this season because he is worn out. And by the way, Desean Jackson runs a 4.3 40 with insane change of direction at full speed. Tell me one NBA player that can run that fast and change direction while running that fast? Not to mention catch a ball that has traveled 60 yds in the air while running at full speed, all the while knowing that a safety could be ready to take your head off. |

do you really think DeSean Jackson does things Chris Paul and Derrick Rose can't do athletically? |
