I am about 20 miles northeast of Frazod, and it's crazy. They cancelled all schools in my town (first "rain day" that I can remember) and are handing out sandbags to people. Luckily I am near the top of a hill so standing water isn't a huge concern.
Last night I got really freaking lucky though. It had been raining so much so I decided to check on my sump pump and noticed the backup sump had been running. Upon further inspection, the primary sump had crapped out (only two months old). Luckily, the plumber that installed it came out within 20 minutes and installed a new one. Given that at 4 am this morning, both sumps were running nonstop, it's a lifesaver that I got that primary replaced or I would be doing laps in my basement right now. |
