Albert lives in Miami. He can take a physical very quickly. Hell he might have already done it and its kept quiet til he gets a new contract.

If he has already done it, then Dolphin needs to hand over some tampering picks.

....Yeah you're right.
Brilliant response. I'm not sitting here trying to tell you lies about your own team. I haven't once said the stupid crap nychief has said about my team. You have no reading comprehension skills and don't understand what we're arguing about. |

Report: Branden Albert wants Jake Long money
Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole reports Branden Albert is seeking $8-9 million annually on a long-term contract. The Dolphins and Albert have discussed a deal, but Albert is seeking more than Jake Long, whose $8.5M-annually price GM Jeff Ireland wouldn't match in St. Louis. As Cole notes, it would seem "counterintuitive" for the Fins to pay Albert the same number as Long while sacrificing a second-round pick. Albert is a better fit for Miami's scheme than Long, but both have been injury prone and Albert has a history of back problems. The Fins are in a very tough spot.

Hopefully, Albert sees that nobody wants to pay him ehat his demands are and accepts what's on the table here.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting a 2 next year for Albert if we have to trade him. Would be nice to have plenty of ammo to move up for a QB next year. I don't know the QB class yet but would be good to have a lot of picks.

Ya I don't want him for one year. That's stupid. Either sign him or deal him. He is going to be very hard to trade because of compensation, price of contract desired.

I don't know man. This could be all to have Albert's price come down. Him seeing that the only team interested is Miami and if he can't get a deal done with them he's ****ed. Next year he'll be 30 and won't get a huge deal. He's gona have to settle for lower money. The money isn't there for him. This draft has quite a few top OTs, so teams won't want to pay an almost 30 year old tackle a big contract and give up a high pick.

Branden Albert trade won’t happen unless he lowers his price
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 21, 2013, 6:46 PM EDT Branden Albert AP The much-discussed potential trade of Branden Albert from the Chiefs to the Dolphins doesn’t appear likely at the price Albert is currently seeking. Although the Chiefs and Dolphins can probably agree on compensation — the Dolphins sending a second-round pick to Kansas City — the hangup is that Albert wants the kind of money that the Dolphins aren’t willing to spend. Specifically, according to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, Albert wants between $8 million and $9 million a year on a long-term deal. In other words, Albert is looking for the same kind of contract that left tackle Jake Long got from the Rams — the very contract the Dolphins wouldn’t give Long, which is why he left Miami for St. Louis. If the Dolphins weren’t willing to pay Long that kind of money, it’s hard to see why they’d be willing to give up a second-round draft pick for the privilege of paying Albert that kind of money. So the Dolphins may need to look elsewhere for a left tackle. And Albert may have to settle for playing this season for the Chiefs, making $9.8 million, and hitting free agency next year. |
