People are making a big deal about competing against Detroit. And yeah, we ought to be proud of that, we weren't competing against crap pitchers, we beat Verlander. We also stopped the Brave streak. and Boston's streak. We're a legit decent team, no doubt about it.

But, if we're gonna win this division, we shouldn't just scratch and claw and fight to be competitive against Detroit's best and maybe win against their bullpen in extra innings. Those wins count, but we need to crush the so-called "lesser teams" in the division. Today, with this pitching matchup, that means we really ought to win today. And if not today, than in 10 games that look like today, we ought to win most of them.

Re: the Indians logo. Chief Wahoo is a terrible mascot. It is not a noble, respectful tribute to native Americans or to native American culture like the Kansas City Chiefs or the Florida State Seminoles.

Hell, its far more offensive than the damned Redskins. The Cleveland Indians are a God Damned evil abomination *, and they should be hated as such by any right-thinking American patriot.

Therefore, they ought to be recognized as vile demons that must be culturally destroyed, especially when faced against the noble blue Royals.

* The above is mostly tongue-in-cheek and shouldn't be taken 100% seriously. Not completely, anyway.... Chief Wahoo is still a horrible mascot under ANY context.

Definitely. I said the exact same thing before the Minnesota series. We should expect to win three of these and anything less will be dissappointing.
