Both desperately need to start driving the ball if this team is going to be a serious playoff contender.
So, have you been watching the Royals?

Eric has really looked pretty smooth and patient lately.

Moose on the other hand...

I have....nothing leads me to believe that Hosmer is gonna start driving the ball and driving in runners. The Royals simply don't hit extra bag hits...they need to start to, and esp w/ Hosmer and Moose.

Both need to hit at least 25HR's each this season. That's only 5 more for Moose and Hosmer needs to hit that amount because he's just a better hitter than Moose for the most part...they both need to get it going. Time to stop playing little league small ball. Need to start whippin out the big dick.

I haven't had a chance to see any games lately, but if Hosmer still has that long circular swing, I would think that inconsistency at the plate is always going to be an issue for him.

Swing is still loopy. Becoming a slap hitter.

I know I'm not saying anything profound here, as we've all had our 2 cents about Frenchy starting, but holy shit. Everyone on this team (sans probably Hoch) is evaluated on talent.

Why not him? In the players' minds, assuming they can see what is blatantly obvious, Ned playing favorites certainly overcomes any of the clubhouse bullshit francoeur brings.

To me, as of late, his swing and patience has improved quite a bit. He had some really good ABs with unfortunate results last night.

And I just don't see Moose or Hosmer being 25+ HR guys, unfortunately.
