Andre Eithier is apparently on the trade block unofficially by the Dodgers. Yusiel Puig is the new RF of the future in LA and with Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford under contract, and Crawford's contract has him untradeable. The odd man out is Eithier. Eithier is in year 2 of his 5 year, $85 Million Deal so the Dodgers are presumably asking for teams to take on some of this year's contract.

The price tag is most likely too high for the Royals to do, but assuming David Glass said he would open up the checkbook to take on the rise in payroll, probably thinking that the window to win is open right now and will be closing soon and feels Eithier is the missing link to the offense.

KANSAS CITY ROYALS GET:
Andre Eithier - RF ($13,500,000)

LOS ANGELES DODGERS GET:
Jeff Franceour - RF ($6,750,000)
Bruce Chen - RP ($4,500,000)
Luke Hochevar - RP ($4,560,000)

This is from another royals board can i lump all you in with this guy now? Like you do

That one looks like a mix between Madden and ESPN's NBA Trade Machine.

You know I'm exaggerating based on shit YOU said in the 2012 thread, right? When we were talking about Butler and what the O's would have to give up to get him?

Butler is a good player but IMO DH only players lose value. People here wanted Dylan Bundy for him and that's crazy.

Yep, those "pitching prospects" are incredibly valuable commodities, and organizations should hang on to them tightly.

The dodgers might do that deal just to et out from Ethiers contract. None of the 3 royals are even signed past October.

What people here (or at least most of us) said was that if the Royals traded Butler, it would be for pitching help, and that the Orioles were a bad matchup.

Because none of the flotsam (Arrieta/Matusz/Tillman/etc) being mentioned by O's fans was worth moving Butler for, and Bundy was the only "close" pitching prospect the O's had, and clearly that was too much to give up for Butler.

Basically, the O's system was all about 3 premium guys (Bundy, Gausman, Machado) and all were too valuable to trade for Butler, but none of the leftover pieces added enough value to KC.

The Germans have bombed Pearl Harbor.

LA will eat at least half his salary if they are able to move him.
