Hell ****ing no.

Consider the caliber of defense that they were playing and that their defensive coordinator seemed to not be pulling any punches, he was blitzing hardcore and sending pass-rushers from all over the place. Not to say that he played well by any means, but considering receivers were dropping passes...cough...Baldwin you ****....cough....and the OL was getting overrun like Custer's Last Stand, not even close.

Cassel would have been picked off 3 times before the first half was over.

Well, if anyone has Alice's number, it's Harbaugh. Let's hope other teams don't take notes!

You guys do realize that the chiefs were going up against one of the best secondaries in the league right? Only thing that was open last night were tightends and rbs because they were going up against the linebackers

Watch and see when they make their cuts, I'd venture to say that a lot of the guys who are too scrubby to make that team, will be on other rosters in a heartbeat. From top to bottom they could have the deepest defense in the NFL, just one pass rushing OLB after another, over and over.

Maybe Andy needs to look at what Harbaugh did to make Smith so good against the blitz while in SF.

Quote:
Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle notes via Stats Inc. that only Tom Brady has a higher QB rating against the blitz this season. Smith has completed 18 of 24 passes for 229 yards with two touchdowns for a 132 rating.

That’s a marked change from last year, when Smith was at 78.7 against the blitz. It’s also much better than Smith is against a four-man (or less) rush this year, where he is at 87.7.

Smith says he’s “excited” when he sees a blitz coming. Wideout Josh Morgan credits simplification of the team’s system. Instead of relying on receivers to cut off their routes (and recognize the blitz), coach Jim Harbaugh inserted “blitz beating” routes into each play.

Ya I just cant believe how everyone was overreacting about alice smith lol The Dude got blitzed like 100000000 times last night lol. Ok lets run as screen!! Ok but to who all our wrs are as slow as a turtle. Also for the record smith did not remind me of cassel, If that was cassel last night he would have thrown 5 forced ints and would have fumbled like 3 times. If we had charles last night the niners wouldnt have been able to pass blitz the whole night because we would have had a threat in backfield.

That's because he sucks ass at knowing when a guy is open down the field.

This is the same reason he takes sacks. He's afraid to wing it, so he holds it and...sack.

Your little buddy is unraveling already.

What you guys saw last night from Alex is the same shit we 9ers fans saw for the last 8 years. I cant tell you how good it felt to see him finally in a different uniform. He will have some decent games and have high rating due to the amount check downs he throws but when he faces a real defense its gonna be murder. It was a bit shocking to see how much struggled against second and third string guys.

This is how he got great PFF rankings. High completion percentage + no mistakes = PFF gold

What numbers are these? Alex's from last preseason? They seem checkdowny.
