Why? The Cowboys are nothing special. They have basically been an 8-8 team for a few years now.

If the Chiefs go scoreless on offense for an entire half next week, there's no way they win.

Your probably right, but who knows? I've seen the Cowboys lay some really rotten eggs the past few years. They are a thoroughly mediocre organization.

With out Tamba Hali pick 6 we couldn't score any more points in the second half. Our defense dominated but our offense was less that thrilling.

I just cannot get excited about our quarterback. I'm trying to like him.

Maybe you Alex Smith lovers like to go on his mustache for a ride?

I'm not a fan of Alex Smith throwing the ball out in the flats to JC he is liable to get him killed. JC is going get drilled doing that.

The good news for the offense was in the first half with short fields to navigate, we ended up with touchdowns instead of field goals. Very impressive.

Yes, we stalled way too many times around the 40-45 yard line of the Jags in the 2nd half, but we had room on the score board to do that.

And, I hate to agree with Clay's summer assessment of Smith, but we could have use another down field pass or two, like the first play of the game, to soften up the defense for the run, and underneath pass routes.

Other than that... great start to the new regime!

All this. What bothers me is that if we are going be a "passing attack offense" Then damn well be a passing attack offense and chuck the ball down field now and then. 3 yard and 5 yard passing is no different than handing the ball off to the running back. Alex Smith is going have a high % connection rate but very low ypa. Yards per attempt are what really matter in that big chunks in the air can really get this offense down field and score points. Our short dinks are costing us when we don't get first downs and pretty much become dead in the water.

People have to catch the ball too.

FASANO. That first play of the game was well set up, and well thrown. That bozo dropped it.....

That is not an excuse not to try throw it deep again.

I don't want to hear excuses I want to see results and touchdowns and get victories.

He should have cought the damn ball. Suck it up and slice it down their throats another play.

Are we going hear drop balls for excuses all year?

Are you not familiar with the West Coast offense?

No, we had room on the scoreboard to take a chance once and awhile.

Take a chance for what? Does it count for more than 1 win if you take a chance at going deep when you're already up 26 points? I just want to understand what the need to take a chance was?

Punt punt punt punt punt punt punt Punt punt Punt punt.

The Broncos can't wait to make us look like idiots. Maybe we should get some experience sustaining drives and scoring touchdowns. Going to need it. Barely had an offense to speak of against the worst team in the league.
