Well you can't just read a bit of something... And then determine it's loony... he spend the first 3/4th of the book simply setting up his theories... I really thought his logic made sense. |

I thought his logic was a sad attempt to bring the fascination and allure of UFOs to fundamentalist Christians and force it to conform with the Christian ideology of Earth being the center of the universe. A way for Christians to enjoy the thought of UFOs without actually having to think outside the little Christian box. I thought it was the opposite of open mindedness. It was forcing a square peg into a round hole, by taking all the intriguing things about UFOs and making comparisons to similar biblical stories and ideas and finding some silly correlation. The interesting thing to me, was that by making those comparisons, it also gave credence to the possibility that he might have had it backwards, in that old biblical reports of demons and such could have instead been references to alien encounters in biblical times. One could argue that just as easily. But again... just my opinion man....

I've always felt that there was something to the idea that Asimov put forward in Nightfall, that human civilization cyclically rises and falls, and that there isn't always easy-to-find archaeological evidence of past cycles.
(But not so much that I think there's any kind of truth to the idea of Niburu or anything like that.) |

Aliens would Have to come through Wormholes- since nothing can move faster than the speed of light-it would be nearly impossible for them to travel from distance universes.
Radio signals from the 50's are Just now reaching the outer 20% of the Milky Way-It will be another 75 to 100 years before they expand past that into dark matter and onto other universes. |

The evolution of travel in space will evolve as our understanding of space does. Just as we went from wheel to horse to steam to automobile on land. Just like sails and oars and steam and gas engines and nuclear powered moving cities on water. The same for air. Space will be more of the same.

I love the show. Some of it it certainly a 'reach', but I enjoy some of the odd coincidences.
tiahuanaco and puma punku were fascinating. also all the alignments of pyramids with Orion by civilizatins in South America and Egypt etc; knowing neither one of them had knowlege of each other.

The early shows tended to not reach as much. Lately, the shows have been getting more and more out there. The one I found the most ridiculous was the one about our founding fathers and aliens. Their claim was pretty much that these guys were smart and they believed that there might be aliens so they must have had contacts with aliens.
