The problem is the team has peaked offensively..

They misuse Charles, bad gameplanning, no adjustments are ever made to fix issues, apologies and a QB that is limited then add the cherry on top, our cap situation. We are going to waste a HoF talented RB..

Something to consider for those who voted for the OL, the WR's or Alex Smith - They are only here, and in their present state, because of the FRONT OFFICE. You get out of things what you put into them...

I felt like Dorsey took a nap in the offseason and didn't do anything to replace the guys we lost in free agency with quality players.

Not really sure why, and it shows today. I just hope some of the younger guys got some experience this season. If we hadn't had such a strong showing last year I think people would feel better about this one.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I picked Reid as the reason we were mediocre this year. I think we would have won 5 games max with most of the other guys who've coached us the last 15 years.

I think Alex would fit the bill as well. He doesn't play in a way that aspires greatness. He plays a if I don't **** this up then maybe we'll win somehow style. That screams mediocre at best to me

Yeah, we know they cant catch it, we see that every week.

And they get crap for separation.

And they can keep their feet in bounds like elite wr's do every dam week

or they just run out of bounds for no good reason

or they fumble balls away.

Team sport so everything adds up to wins or losses and they all need to play better, including the qb.

Alex Smith. Can't complete a pass over 20 yards, get his team to score more than 24 points, and when the team is down 2 scores they are done.

Dorsey. He brought in decent depth, but neglected getting starters. Anybody that didn't know we needed WR help is brain dead. It's his job to build the best team and he brought in scrubs, at every level.

The combination of Fat Andy/Alex Smith was always doomed to lead to perpetual mediocrity.
