Good reasonable priced wines:
Cabernet - Raymond Vinyards - R Collection. Riesling - Clean Slate Reisling. There's also a decent Riesling called Petals that sells for around $7.00. I had a decent Pinot Noir called Hinman's or something like that (under $20). My recommendation would be that once you find a wine you like stick with it, or if you want to change stick with the same type from the same region.

For decent Pinot at a good price, look for a red wine with 'Bourgogne' on the label, and not a lot of other French nomenclature. Red Bourgogne is 'basic' or generic Burgundy and made from Pinot Noir. The Louis Jadot or Drohin LaForet that I buy usually runs $12-$18. If you like this (and you probably will)...the price for better Burgundy goes straight up from here. I stay with these 'generic' burgundies in this price range, but you may have lotsa moola. Good for you!
For US Pinot - Sideways ruined it for us. I visit Oregon often enough that I have a few sentimental favorite Pinot's from there (Adelsheim, Domaine Drohin) but unless it's a celebration bottle I stick with Bridgeview 'Blue moon' Pinot from Oregon or Gallo of Sonoma Pinot from California. I know, Gallo is the evil empire and all that. But this is pretty good juice for the dinero.

I make my own wines and I especially like the fruit wines I have made in the past. I made Peach and Blackberry (from the fruit I grew) a year ago and they are just now getting REALLY smooth. I have 5 gallons of Strawberry that has been sitting on its own lees for 3 months and will transfer it to a new carboy with just the right amount of sugar tomorrow. Then a week or 2 before bottling. In 6 months or so, WOOHOO!
