Kuechly is arguably better in coverage and fits the middle of a 4-3 scheme better. Foster's coverage ability is not poor by any means but maybe more limited. I believe Foster to be more effective in a 3-4.

Where I see similarities is in how quick both players diagnose plays and attack. You rarely see missteps by either of them. Smart players.

The edge I give Foster is in run defend. He DESTROYS blocks and finds the ball. I would also warrant he is a slightly better blitzer. Both are great tacklers: where Kuechly relies on technique and great tracking, Foster gets the job done with sheer will and violence. They both play what they "see" with all out effort.
