Is Albert Wilson... good now!?!?
Tonight's big catch was huge and hugely impressive, but Albert Wilson has been doing little things right all season. This is surprising, considering he has been, uh, not very good at football for most of his career to this point.

He's clearly not as good as the Holy Trinity, and he's probably still the 3rd best WR behind Conley, but... is Albert friggin' Wilson actually good now!?!?

It took until week 16 this year for Wilson to do something that pissed me off. Honestly he's played a lot tougher this year and made some timely plays. Last season Wilson was top of my "hate" list, this year he's not even on it. I'm not sure I'd spend much to keep him around, but he's been a solid part of this year's offense and Smith definitely seems to play better with him out there.

Does Conley even have enough resume for you to make that assessment? Not even close IMHO. And I still don't like anyone of these guys. Conley can't stay on the field and AW is JAG IMHO. AW is playing at the level now he should have been playing at in his rookie year IF he was going to be all that. He is JAG.

He's a respectable no 3 and a damned good no 4 (once Conley is healthy/draft someone.)

On the first drive, Robinson was open on a crossing route but Alex didn't throw to him. Would have atleast move the chains, told not scored


On another play, Smith threw to a blanketed Wilson instead of a wide open Robinson. Both ran "hook" routes.

Robinson is better than his numbers have you believe. Next year it should be

Add Hunt in at running back, decent offensive line and that is a pretty talented offense

No. Next year it should be a legit #2 behind Hill, and solid WR behind him. Conley was pretty good on a few key plays and probably draw some attention from DBs to open things up for other guys, but he wasn't up here with any ind of #2 in the league. And look at the receiving stats from the past two games (below) and then our depth chart.

I was going to post a thread about this last week and how we need WRs. I thin the long plays to Hill have skewed our receiving stats. Absolutely nothing to Robinson (listed as the #1 opposite from Hill) absolutely nothing from him. and Chesson, yeah he's a #3 but a ghost. Kelce is basically a WR.

Who is O Charles? maybe he passes up Incompletrius Harris soon. When he dropped that one in the Endzone yesterday Was so pissed. Wa like 'of COURSE!"

He and Wilson both made cliche bad drops for themselves yesterday.

Trust me, I think the receiving game is much much better than it has been in ten years. Those long plays to hill, who do we have who has done that since? Who? Not Bowe. Dante Hall? But one or two more solid WRs or at least a legit #2 and we've really got something.

Wilson is a fine #4 or #5 WR. I feel good about going into next year with this offensive group, even if there were to be no addition.

Between Kelce, Hill, Hunt and our many young WRs, and Ware, there is more than enough talent.

Of course, you always look to improve but really we have got a stellar offensive skill group.

The defense needs help though going into next year.
