Berry Day-to-Day, Andy won't commit to him playing chargers.

Asked if Berry would be ready to go on Sunday in Los Angeles, coach Andy Reid was non-committal.

“We’ll see,” he said Monday. “It’s day-to-day. We’ll see how it goes.”

I think we can separate Berry from all the others when it comes to his heel/achilles. Obviously cancer isn't the reason for anybody else.

Maybe it really is a sore heel. They sure do sound weird every time they talk about it, though.
I think JC and EB, especially are comparable.

Both approximately the same age, played as teammates, and have suffered the same number of season-ending ACL injuries...in fact, both suffered their first within days of each other in 2011, with eerily similar injuries.

If JC and EB have suffered the same number of season-ending ACL injuries, but JC suffered his in a shorter time span...why does EB's have to be chemo related?

So, that's Chunt's decision. It's his dollar(s).

Chunt doesn't usually deal with contract details, he just signs off on them....that's the GMs job. There was so much friction over the insurance clause that he had to take over the negotiations. Which he handled like someone who normally doesn't do them...

Berry didn't like the language...but I saw it as Dorsey being pragmatic. It was a rare...probably the only one in NFL history where a player returned from chemo so quickly.

I thought Berry was being unreasonable through the whole process...and downplaying what a high-risk candidate he was. I felt he played Chunt like a fiddle...

It really cheapened my opinion of EB...and now they have a $13 million per safety with tendon issues that just missed the entire season. Thanks?
It's the bold part I take issue with :

iirc, Berry came back in 2015 as CPoY, wanted a new deal for 2016 but got franchised, played 2016 as the franchise player, THEN got the mega deal that was promised to him, that if he played injury-free and at an extremely high level on the franchise tag in '16, that Chunt would pay him big in '17.

EB didn't choose to get hurt, and he damn sure didn't 'fleece' anyone.

Dream on, won't happen. Nobody is ever 100 %. Berry will.never be if he can't even make it through camp without a sore heel.

Berry was promised to get paid in '17, period.

Dorsey tried to slip in the language on Berry's contract...and Berry called him out on it.

It was Dorsey's handling of both the Berry and Maclin debacles that led to his dismissal between draft and opening day last year, looking back...
