It makes sense to put Harrison Ford out of his misery.

Arguing that it would be great to have an Obi Wan stand alone, when the character is dead, and then turning around and arguing against the death of Solo, because of his impending stand alone, only confirms that you really love Ewan McDonald, (inside joke from red letter media).

He was in when George asked him 2012, which was based on his script that has been completely disregarded.

That's urban myth. Plus, if he didn't want to play the character again, he would have said no.

To think that Harrison Ford had any input into Lucas or Abrams screenwriting and 7-9 outline is absurd.
