SKC are one win away from securing their spot in the 2013 CONCACAF Champions League. For mojo's sake I wish it was an away game, heh.

Anyone else surprised we haven't made a trade yet? Figured they'd do something to shake it up...
I wonder how that rumored Brek Shea for Bunbury trade would work out... |

They tried to sign a Spanish striker but couldn't get it done in time for the deadline that night. Something was holding it up. The team and player wanted to make it happen. |

I am pretty involved with the Cauldron as an organization.
The video about the data stuff is pretty great. Rui xu (who is @rui_xu on twitter) is a really smart and funny guy. It is lots of fun talking soccer metrics and analytics with him. He studied at USC and just emailed the team VP out of the blue basically pitching himself as a money ball type of guy and it so happened the team was looking for something like that. A few signings one is new and one really isn't.
We have had Neven Markovic for a little less than a month and he has really impressed. He plays center back and is a whole lot like Collin. Big...physical...active...and good on the ball. I have a sneaking suspicion we won't be able to hold on to Collin in the offseason. He might go to bigger and better things and this is a response to that. Neven has played so well he may start for us over Olum in the USOC. Pictured right. Our next signing is a 20 year old midfielder named Oriol Rosell. This has been talked about for a while but was finally finalized today. Oriol was most recentely playing for Barcalona's "B" squad. He is expected to come to us as a defensive midfielder. Possibly a replacement for suddenly out of favor Julio Cesar. |

Yea, part of the problem of being a great but not elite league. I bet Espinoza does real nice for himself in Mexico. However ownership loves him....absolutely loves the guy. Maybe they throw him DP money. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried real hard to nab one of them but it is prob out of our hands. Hoping we get some good value back!
However I can't say enough good things about Neven. The dude...its like having Collin back there. Not *quite* as physical but better on the ball. They are so similar its funny. He also loves being in Kansas City. |
