Why use Adron Chambers to pinch hit instead of Shane (or anybody else on earth for that matter)? He should be a pinch runner and nothing else, ever. He is absolutely god-awful at the plate. Even Wong and his sub-.150 batting average inspire more confidence.

I think this bigger pressure on the Cardinals side. Not to mention St.Louis has had a horrible time against lefties which will pitch game 6 and 7 if necessary. |

I firmly believe the Cardinals are going to lose this series. Leads of 3-1 for the Cardinals are like 13-3 seasons for the Chiefs

@ESPNStatsInfo: The Dodgers need to win a pair of games in St. Louis to complete the comeback. The Dodgers are 0-5 all-time in NLCS games in St. Louis.

Craig has hit very poorly in the past against the Dodgers, the exception being Kershaw. He has a homer and 5 RBI in 17 AB, but only .294 avg with .471 slg. Against the Dodgers as a whole he hits .218 with only 2 extra base hits in 55 AB.

Not a lot of history. That's just this year and 1985. If you want to go back before the NLCS the Cardinals swept a playoff in 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers with a game in each park. They did beat us in STL during one game for the NLDS in 2009. That's one win in St. Louis in 9 postseason games.

IMO Matheny needs to pull a Leyland and shake up the lineup versus Kershaw in game 6. Its only a small sample, six plate appearances, but Descalso is hitting .500 with a .667 obp versus Kershaw and should replace Freese, who is very cold and hits Kershaw very poorly. Kozma hits Kershaw well too with three doubles. They should consider sitting Jay who is horrid right now and has a very bad history against Kershaw.

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I just read that Allen Craig is scheduled to take BP tomorrow off of Jaime Garcia, so two good signs in one. While Jaime is obviously a non-factor and just starting to throw again, it sounds like Craig is progressing really well and would have a decent chance at being on the WS roster, provided we take care of business against LA. There were even rumors that he could get activated against LA; I was sure that couldn't happen in the midst of a series, but teams are allowed to replace injured players on the active roster, so if they could be convincing enough that say, Mujica has splinters in his ass from the bench or Chambers hurt himself watching strike 3, well then it could be an outside possibility I guess.

Just like the Dodgers losing to The Phillies twice in the LDS in 2008-2009. There is only 2 players there were even really on the team that are major players right now and thats Kershaw, he was like a rookie and a 2nd year i think then Andre Either. The rest werent around for that. Kemp, but he's hurt, so he dont count.lol Ithink we can all agree there is pressure on both teams for obvious reasons. Game is less then 24 hours away cant wait |

I wish we could pay $227 Million to field a team. I know it shouldn't matter to a Cardinal fan. We can afford a top ten payroll. But, still there is a huge difference between the #10 payroll and your team. For me developing and drafting your own players, winning with your own players matters to me. I'd still take the $8 BILLION TV contract.
