Barbecue sauce
What do you guys use, homemade or store bought?
Here is the list from the web. A lot of the store brands, like Bull's Eye, Open Pit, Sweet Bay, Kraft, in which the #1 ingredient is the high fructose corn syrup. Anyone here makes his/her own in a not too messy way? |

Stubb's is good for a Texas sauce, it's the closest thing to Gates, but not quite as good as Gates. Another Texas sauce I like is Jardine's.

Hip your buddy to the mustard/vinegar/cayenne sauces. Slow smoke, shred in a tub, slather in Carolina sauce. http://bbq.about.com/od/barbecuesauc...r/blb00114.htm but it can be as simple as mustard vinegar cayenne, done.

Keep the slaw on the side. Don't ruin my meat by slathering that shit on it....

Yeah, no hatin' bud. I understand it's a regional thing.
OK Joe's has a Carolina Style sammich. It was on special once, so I thought I'd try it just to see. Cole slaw and vinegar on good BBQ meat just ain't my thing....

Ok, so I was at Ace Hardware up north and came across the Night of the Living BBQ sauce that several of you have mentioned.
It's good. Real good. It is a bit hotter than my family would like, but right up my alley. I still like rufus Teague better though. |
