***The OFFICIAL MNF Broncos @ Chargers Game Thread***

I know it's early, but I am overly excited for this game for some reason. Probably because a Donkeys victory means KC's division title chances are very high.

So I'm rooting for the Broncos to lose by negative points.

Beating/sweeping Oakland would not have mattered, When Phillip Rivers does to Infy Sun. what he did to Denver Monday nite, Rivers becomes the runaway favorite for 2010 NFL MVP. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, I expect this to happen.

Chiefs can steal two games on San Diego by beating them if you count the tiebreaker. Not likely, but just saying...

Beeeeeecause...having that extra game lead (that we should have won) in the division, especially the way SD is playing right now, wouldn't be helpful at all?

If the Chiefs had held on to beat Oakland, then the Chiefs have a two game lead, and would probably have more divisional wins at the end of the season than the Chargers.

I think the Chiefs 'could' win out other than the Charger game. That win in Oakland would have given us the division.

The Chiefs have very winnable games at home with Denver, Oakland and the Titans. They have three road games. Two of those are very winnable with Seattle and St. Louis.

If we win this weekend it will be hard to lose the division.

Because we still get 3 more home games. And we should win all of those. That's 10 wins. I think San Diego loses a couple more.

They will probably lose in Indy and that may be it. 10-6. If we finish 10-6 I think SD wins the division on tie breakers. No sure.

There's no way SD goes into Indy and beats them like that.

Correct. Indy is something like eleventy billion and 7 at home since Manning was drafted. I think the Chargers could lose at Denver as well. So that's two.

Ya, but the Chargers have done very well against the Colts in Indy.

Cant remember, but I think they have beaten them every time they have played in Indy, including the playoffs, since 2005? Buck would know.

That was when Merriman was playing at an all-pro level and the Chargers had a real top notch defense. That defense is not that good now, and outside of Phillips they don't rush the passer very well.

Any chance we get in as a wildcard at 10-6? Probably not with 9-7.

Nope. The two wildcards will come from the AFC east and AFC north. The Jets, Pats, Steelers, and Ravens will all make the playoffs.
