Whether it was interference or not, (I think not, looks like a home run to me) I don't think it is ever appropriate to punish the fans for going for the ball, its pretty much instinct. (though if a fan reaches out and catches a foul or homer hit by the other team, the surrounding fans ought to beat him up)

All you can do is figure out if its interference, adjust the baserunners, and move on.

Fan interference usually gets you walked out of the park. It may have been a HR but we won't ever know now.

We should've been playing Betemit from the beginning. The guy had a darn near 1.000 OPS when he played last year and this year everyone treats him as an afterthought because of Aviles and Moose.
