Alright, I'll fess up

I've been holding back on you guys. I have a new neighbor that moved in two blocks from me about 2 1/2 months ago. I've chatted with her while walking my dogs and I've also chatted with the police officers that sit outside her residence.

She's had the cops at her place (a rental, $10k per month) more than a dozen times during that period. Sometimes for parties, sometimes for noise and often times for parking her Maserati with half the car hanging out into our narrow streets (many of our streets are less than 16 foot wide, hers being one of them).

She's had many nicknames in the media but the one that always sticks with me is the one given to her by Paris Hilton: Firecrotch!.

Yes, that's right ladies and germs. DaneMcCloud's newest neighbor is none other than Firecrotch herself, LiLo, Linsday Lohan!

And to say that she looks like a 42 year-old trailer trash resident is insulting to all 42 year-old women who live in trailer parks.

It's not nearly as simple as it may sound.
The music and product placement is shameless...

I fully agree with product placement. I know people that do that type of work and most of them are even turned off by it.

Music placement can be very different. People like Cameron Crowe routinely has excellent soundtracks because artists trust him. "Pulp Fiction" didn't even have a score; it was just Karen Rachtman (yes, Rikki's sister) and Tarantino.

But when you've got $150 million on a movie, I can understand how and why a studio wants to have their high profile artists appear in the soundtrack.

It's an important revenue stream.

Donnie Darko comes to mind, but that's just IMHO. That song by the Church (Under the Milkyway)is awesome and one of my all time favorites!

I was a doubter once too. If I had Boss Hog money, I would have no problem telling stories of who I have met, or what I drive, or exclusive hobbies. He isn't running around thumbing his nose at all us poor people. It's nice to see someone who is living la vida loca, that was a normal dude once, just like me.

I would like Dane to deliver my eulogy.

All movies should be scored by Danny Elfman. There, I said it.
