Do we classify Dwayne Bowe as a #1 receiver now?

45 catches, 715 yards, 11 touchdowns.

No opposing receiving threat, today Moeaki was out, and he's obviously handicapped at quarterback.

The drops have disappeared.

His blocking is excellent.

Committed and has kept his yap shut.

I think he's arrived.

Cassel is on pace for 3344 yards, 28 TD's and 7 picks.

I wonder if last week throwing for 460 something yards and 4 td's just gave him the confidence he needed? Because the guy I saw today looked confident in the pocket, threw with great accuracy deep, and had good pocket presence. Out of nowhere it seemed.

I hope that he continues to improve because Cassel isn't Grabc in that he's a dickhead. Cassel seems like a decent guy who is liked by his teammates and coaches and wants to win. I hope he continues this solid play.

My bad.

Either way, if Cassel ends up at 3400 yards and 28-29 Td's there is no way we are letting him walk. And honestly we'd be stupid to if he continues to improve.

No worries, I had just done the math like three times so I figured I would chime in LOL....

Also, take note that even ONE dropped TD pass (or receiver crossing the line instead of being tackled short) being successful over the last 10 games would put him at pace for OVER 30 TD's which would be a franchise record!

Well a dude isn't going to set a franchise record for TD passes in a season and be let go. Let's be real.

A bad player can have good games.

Elvis Grbac and Derrick Anderson both made the probowl and put up good numbers in seasons that they had good and bad games. That doesn't mean they were anything above camel dung, overall.

For some of the think headed (such as myself) one or two good games at home doesn't really change everything to where we are ready to piss in the wind.

So, by GoChiefs saying that he had a good game against a bad team while playing at home and has a chance to "build on this and prove something with winning on the road next week" how does that change the fact that he still thinks he is camel dung....or makes him as a back-peddler?

These two are not, how do you say, mutually exclusive.

That help you out?

Did you even read my reply?

If you had any ability to comprehend that paragraph you would have realized I wasn't comparing him to camel dung.

Its fairly obvious the guy is an average quarterback. He's not shit.

Well, that game can be played both ways as well.

If DMC doesn't take a swing pass for a score, his average would be lower....if Bowe didn't take half of his touchdown passes from 20 yards out and break a tackle or two to get in the EZ, his average would be lower.

See how that works?

Everyone is in harmony about his play today, why not just leave it at that instead of trying to set unrealistic expectations...remember, pride always comes before the fall.

My hopes for this whole year are that he will take to this coaching staffs direction and take "baby steps" toward where we ultimately need him to be. I am HOPING that is what we are seeing, but again I am guarded because of how many times he has let us down.

Oh no I wasn't being snarky to you. Mainly to people reading it who think CAssel is the worst QB in the NFL or some shit like that.

We could in fact be FAR worse off than having Cassel back there, and I've not been a Cassel supporter. But it's hard to not acknowledge that the guy is getting better.

What about the weeks and weeks where you call him horrible and shitty?

If it is so "obvious" that he is "average" and not "shit" now, why wasn't this obvious to you before now?

You change your stance completely after a game against a crappy team like Arizona...? You think no one is going to call you on it?

You really are a piece of work.
