Battlestar Galactica

I just finished the entire series and I have to say, Wow. It was fantastic.

Has anyone else enjoyed this diamond?

I also need suggestions on the next series we need to watch.

The pilot episode for the new Battlestar Galactica spin-off show, Blood and Chrome, has been completed. Composer Bear McCreary made the announcement yesterday, revealing he'd just completed the soundtrack for the episode. SyFy will apparently be announcing shortly plans for transmitting the pilot.

Either way, new Galactica is always good news!

Guys, why all these spoilers? If someone hasn't seen the ending yet, then the hell with them. They've had years to catch it.

The Galactica finds Earth roughly 350,000 years in our future, where everything has been overrun by Cylons. Everyone dies, the end.

Also, Number Six and Eight have hot lesbian cylon sex, and realize that the way for cylons to procreate is to do some hot, wet, cylon scissoring. So all the women (including Lucy Lawless) make cylon babies.

I was totally joking.

Lucy Lawless doesn't participate in the cylon scissoring.

I still have high hopes, however, that she will engage in some spirited scissoring action with Illythia on Spartacus.

Just don't tell them about how all the male cylons die off and the females have to procreate through constant hot lesbian sex.

Just finished the series.

LOVED it.

The last three episodes of Season One through the first three episodes of Season Three are some of the best I've ever seen in television.

Season Three, on the whole, is the most uneven, I think. But it ends strong. Season Four is just outstanding.

Loved the finale. Not sure how I would have ended it more appropriately.

Great series.

Behold A Very Badass Reel For BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: BLOOD AND CHROME!!

Apparently, over the weekend, a trailer for BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: BLOOD AND CHROME was screened at Wondercon (details HERE).

From what I've heard of the trailer...which is cut to "Immigrant Song" and styled after the famously awesome GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO promo...the embed below represents the same material screened at that convention.

BLOOD & CHROME is set in the years preceding the famously revamped BATTLESTAR GALACTICA series from Ron Moore and David Eick, chronicling the adventures of young William Adama (played by Edward James Olmos in the recent series - but portrayed by Luke Pasqualino here) during the Cylon War. Fans of BG may recall that the Cylon War was a significant back story component for that series. B&C has been characterized as much more of a "war" and "action" series than its progenitor/successor...an assertion apparently borne out by the pacing and content of this trailer.

BLOOD & CHROME has been said to utilize a significantly different production model from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, employing a staggering array of virtual sets and environments as opposed to physically constructing costly locations (details HERE). The results? See for yourself below...but keep in mind that much of the physicality surrounding the actors here isn't even real.

Pretty great as far as I'm concerned. I want to see more NOW!
