Also said they might consider a WR as part of trade cuz with AJ gone, Hopkins will be the #1 target and will need help. Then they said maybe no player at all and just a draft pick cuz its not a bad thing if HOU picks top 5 in draft next year cuz the QB class is good... They were all over the map with the compensation part but were all in agreement that KC would work out great for both parties.

"Would he be willing to restructure his contract? None of the three teams mentioned for consideration have the kind of salary-cap space to take on Johnson's contract. Keep in mind every team in the league has to get their rookies signed, which will take its toll on remaining cap space. As of now the Patriots have $7.7 million, Carolina has $5.7 million and the Chiefs have $4.4 million. A trade for Johnson would be an immediate $11 million cap hit and only 10 teams in the NFL could incur that hit without an adjustment. Of those 11 teams, I don't believe Johnson wants to go to any of those teams or that they would have little interest in him. If Johnson really wants to move on he has to restructure and strongly consider a pay cut as well. Johnson has made more than $30 million in the past four years and has been a high-priced player for all 11 years of his career. A willingness to do a cap friendly deal that averages $7million to $8 million a year but has a first-year cap number closer to $4 million-$5 million could put him on a real playoff contender."

Donnie and a 3rd or Flowers and a 4th provided he restructures.
As a fantasy owner of AJ I am justified and qualified to say "ownz bonz" and I refuse to consider anybody else's position. |

We don't have cap room for this, we'll have to pay him in hj's and bj's.
Or do like Denver does and pay him cash under the table. |

Avery and a 3rd for Johnson? Is there really anyone here who wouldn't do that in a heartbeat? Who would help us more NEXT year? Moncrief or Johnson?

I know he'd probably be here a year or two at most.....but damn this offense would be good with Johnson and Bowe as the top WRs.

apparently Dorsey and Reid disagree
This offseason has been run like there is no rush at all. We made the playoffs last year, we're good.
